Heads up, mall-goers! SM Mall of Asia is turning up the heat with new dining and retail delights just for you.

This July, five new restaurants have opened their doors to give your palates a delightful treat. These new dining hot spots will take you on a culinary adventure across continents and are the perfect destination for celebrating life’s moments, big or small. Plus, one of your favorite retail brands has gotten a make-over and now comes supercharged with new merch that you surely wouldn’t want to miss.

Curious? Here are the newest kids on the SM Mall of Asia block that you should check out today:

Ganso-Shabuway and Ganso-Gyukatsu
Ground Floor, MOA Square

Ganso-Shabuway has been around the metro, but this is their first-ever SM Branch and their fourth overall in the country! Ganso-Shabuway’s arrival at the MOA Square comes at a great time when many Filipinos are going crazy over hotpot. From its name, you can already tell that you are bound to experience excellent shabu-shabu, where thinly-sliced meat, vegetables, and noodles simmer in a heaping pot of exquisite broth that comes in spicy miso, traditional seaweed, or wakame seaweed flavors.

Ganso-Shabuway’s shabu-shabu sets are good for solo eaters (starts at PHP 475) up to a group of 2 or 4 (starts at PHP 1,045 for a set for 2), and customers can choose between USDA Choice Angus Beef or Premium Angus Beef. They also have tempura and rice bowls on the menu, so their menu has a wide-range of your favorite Japanese dishes.

But right beside Ganso-Shabuway in MOA Square is its sister restaurant, Ganso-Gyukatsu, which has gyukatsu fans screaming with glee!

But wait—what is gyukatsu anyway? It is a type of Japanese dish that is made out of beef cutlets. It is usually breaded and deep fried until the coating is crispy, but the meat is kept rare to keep it moist and juicy.  Each table has stone slabs where you can cook the beef to the doneness you prefer.

At Ganso-Gyukatsu, their gyukatsu is made of premium beef cutlets sourced from Australia, US, and Japan. They come with a variety of sauces and condiments, as well as refillable salad and miso soup. As they are on soft opening for now, you can only order a striploin gyukatsu set (starts at PHP 748), but angus beef, premium Australian wagyu and japanese wagyu will also become available soon.

This MOA-exclusive restaurant is working on a by-reservation system for now, so head on over to Ganso-Gyukatsu’s Facebook or Instagram pages to book your slots.

Pizza Hut and Taco Bell
Level 1, North Main Mall

We’ve known Pizza Hut for ages. And despite many new pizza places popping open in the last couple of years, there’s something comforting about the familiar pillowy-soft and flavorful pizzas that only Pizza Hut can make.

No one does stuffed crust pizza better than Pizza Hut!

And so, with Pizza Hut opening its SM Mall of Asia doors once again, there is yet another reason to visit this bellowed SM Supermall. Their Super Supreme pizza will forever be a classic, but their newest Philly Cheesesteak flavor is definitely a must-try too! Imagine biting into Sliced beef tenders with seasoned white onions on a bed of cream cheese sauce and mozzarella cheese, drizzled with cheddar cheese sauce and topped with dried parsley—ugh, we’re drooling already!

Look at that cheese pull on a Taco Bell Quesadilla!

But if you’re also craving for some good ol’ tacos, then head right next door because Taco Bell has also opened up shop at SM Mall of Asia! For years, this iconic Mexican-inspired fast food chain has only been seen in the northern side of Manila. Now that it’s here in MOA, quality and authentic tacos, burritos, quesadillas—basically all the good stuff—is made even more accessible, at price points that wouldn’t hurt your wallets.

Young Won Asian Grill
Building J, SM By the Bay

As we’ve said before, hotpots and KBBQ places are dime-a-dozen now in the metro and the number of options can make it hard to find which ones offer exceptional dining experiences.

NBS Super Branch
Ground Floor, SM Mall of Asia

Given the rise of eBooks and all other forms of content that people consume nowadays, we’re happy to see that books continue to thrive and that National Bookstore is pretty much alive and kicking.

They’re kicking so hard, in fact, that they recently leveled up their SM Mall of Asia branch into a National Bookstore Superbranch! Beyond the extensive collection of books, school supplies, and office essentials, this superbranch stands out with a special section dedicated to K-pop merchandise. Partnering with Co. the Collective Store, it offers a wide range of K-pop albums and photocards. Fans can also find Funko Pops, plushies, and anime figures and collectibles. It's clear why this is called the National Bookstore Superbranch.

Keep your eyes peeled for this upcoming stores and events at the SM Mall of Asia:
