Tara, kain tayo!

Celebrate 40 #aweSM Super Years of SM Foodcourt! Score a free Coke in can for every single-receipt purchase of any merienda worth P299 plus any Coca-Cola product in tow. This exclusive offer runs on weekdays, 2PM to 5PM, until October 10, 2025.

A refreshingly ice-cold Coke for free paired with a merienda favorite? There’s nothing quite like it, making the combo such a classic and an iconic Filipino snacking experience. It’s a ‘meriendeal’ at its finest!

But what makes a merienda?
If you ever find yourself craving for merienda, a hearty yet mini meal to tide you over until your next big spread, you’re not alone. Already ingrained in our history and culture, having a mid-afternoon snack as a delicious ritual just shows our absolute love for food and the sense of community it fosters.

Sweet or savory—it doesn’t really matter. Frankly, it also knows no time; although purists would say it should be taken before supper. But for foodies like us, there’s only one requirement: It just has to be so good that you can’t resist to have more.

Spotted at SM Foodcourt
Dining always hits different at SM Foodcourt, where cravings meet comfort and culinary choices meet budget. But now that they’ve upped the ante this season, there are yummier and more pocket-friendly reasons to snack and take your afternoon break at a nearby SM mall.

Some merienda spots we recommend are S.A.L.O., Turks, Takoyadon, and Thaiwadee—each one serving a satisfying menu packed with your go-to munchies.

S.A.L.O.

This dining joint specializes in traditional Filipino fare often served in sets. Gather your friends and sample their sotanghon guisado (glass noodles), pancit canton, pork barbecue skewers, or even a serving of lechon belly (if you’re feeling especially indulgent).

Turks

Hankering for a shawarma? Turks is definitely the place to be. Their Middle Eastern pita wraps and rice meals are such a hit since they’ve already been adapted to the local palate and feature a combo of premium meat, crisp veggies, and drool-worthy signature sauces. Opt for their bestselling chicken and beef pita wraps for takeaway—or a small rice bowl to keep you running until dinnertime.

Takoyadon

Authentic and affordable? That’s Takoyadon for you. Grab their signature on-the-go grub—a serving of takoyaki. This classic Japanese street food is made of egg-forward batter and octopus bits dipped into umami-rich dashi stock and katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes). Other flavors include Sakana (smoked fish), Chizu (cheese), Hotate (scallops), Bekon Chizu (bacon and cheese) Shifudo Cheese Overload (seafood), Pork Floss Chizu (pork floss with cheese).

Thaiwadee

Eats from Thaiwadee bring Thailand’s street food culture straight to SM, where you can savor bold Thai flavors on the daily without spending a pretty penny. A snacking staple we recommend is their well-loved Mango Sticky Rice—soft, glutinous rice drizzled with creamy coconut sauce and served with sweet, juicy mangoes.

Make sure to swing by at these SM Foodcourt merienda hubs in between or after shopping at your favorite SM mall to get a free Coke with a minimum spend of P299. Valid on Mondays to Fridays, 2PM to 5PM, until October 20, 2025.
