SM Supermalls was honored with two Philippine Quill Merit Awards at the 21st Philippine Quill Awards, recognizing the success of its community engagement efforts–Toy Fezt 2.0 and SM Cares’ Global Youth Summit 2024.
Toy Fezt 2.0 thrilled toy collectors and enthusiasts as SM Supermalls transformed its event spaces into spectacular showcases of fan-made, life-sized action figures. The exhibit kicked off at SM City Bacoor in June 2024, offering fans an immersive celebration of action figures and pop culture, before travelling to SM City Sorsogon in Bicol, and SM City Sta. Rosa and SM City Trece Martires in South Luzon.
Superheroes and anime characters took center stage at SM Supermalls’ vibrant Toy Fezt 2.0 celebration.
Meanwhile, the Global Youth Summit 2024 was organized by SM Cares in partnership with the Global Peace Foundation. It empowered over 24,000 young leaders across 17 provinces nationwide, culminating in a grand finale at the Mall of Asia Arena. The summit ignited the passion of youth to champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and awarded seed grants worth P250,000 to support sustainability-driven projects.
SM Supermalls remains committed to championing the UN Sustainable Development Goals through the Global Youth Summit held in several key cities.
“These awards are a testament to SM Supermalls’ commitment to creating meaningful experiences for our customers and communities,” said SM Supermalls Executive Vice President for Marketing Joaquin L. San Agustin. “Through Toy Fezt 2.0, we celebrate the passion of fandom. Through the Global Youth Summit, we empower the next generation to build a sustainable future. Both initiatives reflect our vision of malls as more than shopping spaces—they are platforms for inspiration, connection, and transformation.”
The Philippine Quill Awards is the country’s most prestigious business communication recognition, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines. The award recognizes communication programs, strategies, and tools that meet global standards and have a significant impact on business and society. This year’s ceremony was held on August 27, 2025 at The Manila Hotel.
