Whether you are looking for date spots in SM, indoor date ideas Metro Manila, or the best things to do in SM this weekend, October is fully stacked.

Always Yours, Never Mine (Still Showing from September 30)

Genre: Drama / Romance

Cast: Joshua Garcia, Julia Barretto, Bianca Umali, Chanda Romero

JoshLia is back, and so is your excuse to cry in a cinema. Always Yours, Never Mine follows Apollo and Luna across thirty years and several versions of themselves, two people who keep crossing paths at the worst possible times. Every reunion arrives with a choice. Every choice pulls them closer to one life and further from another. Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana and written by Vanessa R. Valdez, the film is a proper sweeping love story built for the big screen. Make it a date spot in SM moment or bring your best friend and a pack of tissues. This is Filipino romance done all out.

SB19 Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale (SM Exclusive, October 7)

Genre: Concert Film

Cast: SB19 (Pablo, Josh, Ken, Stell, Justin)

The Philippines' biggest P-pop act brings their most historic concert to SM Cinema exclusively in Screen X. Captured before a record-breaking crowd of nearly 100,000 fans at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque on April 18, 2026, Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale closes the chapter on SB19's landmark trilogy. Expect full performances of GENTO, What?, and DAM, alongside the scale, sound, and spectacle of a concert that set a new benchmark for live Filipino music. This is the kind of barkada experience you will talk about for years.

Pee Mak (October 14)

Genre: Horror / Comedy / Romance

Cast: Wilbert Ross, Bea Binene, Jairus Aquino, TJ Valderrama, Gian Bernardino, Vandolph Quizon

One of Thailand's most beloved films gets a full Filipino adaptation, and the casting alone is worth buying tickets for. Directed by Victor Villanueva (Patay Na Si Hesus), the film follows Mak, a soldier who returns from war and invites his four friends home to meet his wife Nak and their newborn child. His friends start noticing things. The village is terrified. And the rumors spreading around town point to one impossible conclusion about Mak's family. It is scary, funny, and genuinely moving all at once—a combination very few films pull off. Pee Mak is a strong pick for a barkada hangout that you will all be screaming through together.

Whalefall (October 14)

Genre: Survival Thriller

Cast: Austin Abrams, Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, Jane Levy, Emily Rudd

Jay Gardiner goes diving off the California coast to search for his late father's remains and gets swallowed by an 80-foot, 60-ton sperm whale with one hour of oxygen left. What follows is a real-time survival thriller set entirely inside the belly of the ocean's largest predator. In this extraordinary circumstance, Jay discovers that the hard lessons his father spent a lifetime teaching him might be the only thing keeping him alive. Directed by Brian Duffield and produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, Whalefall blends family drama with suffocating suspense in a way very few films manage.

Street Fighter (October 14)

Genre: Action / Adventure

Cast: Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, Jason Momoa, David Dastmalchian, Joe "Roman Reigns" Anoai, Cody Rhodes, 50 Cent

FIGHT! The World Warrior Tournament is back, and this time it is filmed for IMAX. Set in 1993, Street Fighter follows estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) as the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. Behind the battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face each other and the demons of their past. Director Kitao Sakurai assembles one of the most stacked casts in recent memory, with Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and 50 Cent as Balrog. For anyone who grew up dropping coins into an arcade cabinet, this one is a full gala to the max moment.

The Intern (SM Exclusive, October 14)

Genre: Comedy / Drama

Cast: Choi Min-sik, Han So-hee, Kim Geum-soon, Kim Jun-han, Ryu Hye-young

The Korean remake of Nancy Meyers' beloved 2015 film pairs two of Korean cinema's finest actors in a warm, funny workplace story. Ki-ho (Choi Min-sik) is a 70-year-old man with 37 years of experience who joins the fashion startup Woo22 as a silver intern. Sun-woo (Han So-hee) is the company's driven young CEO who is not sure what to do with him. What follows is a generational comedy built around Korean workplace culture, seniority dynamics, and the kind of unlikely friendship that sneaks up on everyone. It’s a good pick for a lighthearted outing at your nearest shopping mall with cinema.

Sine Sindak

SM Cinema's annual horror festival returns this October with a curated mix of Filipino and international horror films. Sine Sindak has built a reputation as one of the most exciting horror showcases of the year, giving local filmmakers a dedicated platform while also bringing in standout genre titles from around the world. HYBE Cine Fest (October 24 to 31)

Genre: Concert Film / Music Event

Cast: BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, KATSEYE, and more

The biggest K-pop cinema event of the year closes October on the highest possible note. Running October 24 to 31, HYBE Cine Fest 2026 brings six distinct cinematic experiences to SM Cinema across a full week. The lineup includes two live BTS viewing broadcasts from the BTS World Tour Arirang in South America, full-length concert films from SEVENTEEN (New World Tour), TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Act: Tomorrow), and ENHYPEN (Blood Saga), plus the interactive HYBE Cheering Party in 3D where fans sing along to on-screen lyrics and wave light sticks to music videos from the full HYBE roster.
