SM Active Hub holds free open play for pickleball communities

The free open play sessions, organized by the #SMActiveHub, featured first-timers, long-time players, and hobbyists in an action-packed day of intense rallies and smooth serves. Participants enjoyed free two-hour sessions with a flourishing community built on friendly competition and a passion for fitness. 

The program’s success marks the growing interest in meaningful recreational activities. SM Supermalls continues to create experiences where people can stay active, be part of a community, and enjoy the game. 

Pickleball enthusiasts sweated it out and served up intense competition

Pickleball players of all levels worked on their game with the growing community

Participants registered to join the #SMActiveHubPickleballOpenPlay via the SM Malls Online and Reclub app. After registration, they headed to participating SM Pickleball courts where they practiced their strokes, footwork, and follow-through. The open play coincided with the United States’ National Pickleball Day on August 8, which honors the fast-growing sport, promotes fitness, and brings communities together.

The #SMActiveHubPickleballOpenPlay is among SM Supermalls’ initiatives to encourage more Filipinos to enjoy the growing sport. Over the years, the mall operator has been holding clinics and tournaments, providing pickleball fanatics opportunities to live, play, compete, and connect.
