Filipino Christmas Traditions Take Center Stage at SM Aura’s “Puso ng Pasko”

MANILA, Philippines, October 2026 – SM Aura welcomes the holiday season with Puso ng Pasko, a special presentation of the beloved Filipino Christmas musical, and Plaza de Aura, an immersive Christmas village celebrating Filipino artistry, craftsmanship, and traditions.

Bringing together some of the country’s most celebrated names in the performing arts, the production offers guests a rare opportunity to experience world-class Filipino talent in an intimate holiday setting.

Complementing the performance is Plaza de Aura: A Celebration of Filipino Heritage and Artistry, conceived and designed by acclaimed theater and production designer Gino Gonzales. The festive village reimagines the traditional Filipino town plaza through handcrafted installations inspired by Philippine architecture, folk traditions, and religious imagery.

Welcome to Plaza de Aura, an immersive Christmas village celebrating Filipino artistry, craftsmanship, and traditions.

Guests can discover miniature bahay na bato structures, traditional parol lanterns, and larger-than-life higantes reimagined as Christmas soldiers. The installation also highlights regional craftsmanship through pabalat paper-cutting, calado embroidery, solihiya weaving, and lagang shellcraft. Sputnik-inspired lanterns, festive figures in embellished interpretations of the barong Tagalog, and a Filipino interpretation of the aureola further showcase the country's artistic heritage.
