The recently concluded DTI National Trade Fair, held from July 23 to 27, 2025 at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Halls 1–3, gathered over 250 Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in a dynamic five-day celebration of innovation, craftsmanship, and Filipino pride. Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the fair spotlighted regional brands from Luzon,  Visayas, and Mindanao—giving them a national platform to connect with consumers, buyers, and business partners.

As the event’s venue partner, SM Supermalls once again proved its role as the preferred marketplace for MSMEs, going beyond logistics and offering real, meaningful support. From on-ground assistance and mall-wide promotions to digital integration via its SM for MSMEs platform, SM provided accessible platforms and innovative solutions that enabled entrepreneurs to shine. For many, this wasn’t just a trade fair—it was a launchpad.

The fair’s strategic location inside one of the busiest malls in the country transformed casual shoppers into MSME customers, proving that MSMEs are truly everywhere in SM Supermalls. Across its network of 88 malls, SM continuously creates opportunities where local entrepreneurs can test, transform, and thrive.

From traditional baro’t saya to street style — handcrafted wear that redefines local chic, Filipino fashion like you’ve never worn it before by Happy Home Textile, Rosario Batangas.

Among the fair’s key highlights were the KAPEtirya Philippine Coffee Pavilion, a Sustainability Corner spotlighting eco-friendly innovations, and themed clusters showcasing wellness products, crafts, fashion, and gourmet finds. Each booth told a story of Filipino creativity in action—where imagination meets execution.

Beyond retail, the fair pulsed with energy from live demos, cooking showcases, cultural performances, and business-matching sessions. These experiences not only entertained but also equipped MSMEs with the tools and confidence to elevate their business. It was entrepreneurial spirit in action—proof that hustle truly lives here.

Many exhibitors reported impressive sales and promising leads, with several now exploring bulk orders, institutional deals, and export opportunities. While this year’s numbers are still being finalized, last year’s fair generated nearly ₱70 million in sales, and early insights suggest this edition may have exceeded expectations.

SM’s partnership with DTI is anchored in a shared vision of empowering MSMEs, building communities, and growing entrepreneurs. Through initiatives like “SM for MSMEs,” SM continues to open doors by providing free spaces, mentoring opportunities, and a growing ecosystem that connects entrepreneurs to thriving communities—within and beyond the mall.

The 2025 DTI National Trade Fair at SM Megamall stood not just as a commercial event, but as a strong symbol of public-private collaboration in action. It reaffirmed SM Supermalls’ ongoing commitment to uplifting Filipino entrepreneurs and nurturing the next generation of business leaders—one proudly local product at a time.
