“Breast cancer knows no boundaries. It does not discriminate based on age, gender, or ethnicity. It affects mothers, daughters, sisters, loved ones, and friends. But here's one thing we should remember: it is a battle we can win all together,” shared Mr. Tan during his speech.
SM Supermalls’ President Steven Tan shared in his speech the significance of Breast Cancer Awareness, as his own mother has triumphed over breast cancer.
To mark the occasion, last October 6, 2023, three iconic SM landmarks, including the SM Megamall Time Man, SM Mall of Asia Globe, and SM Lanang Fountain in Davao, were illuminated in vibrant pink, symbolizing hope and solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.

SM Supermalls, through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, SM Cares, and its Program for Women, has played an active role in educating Filipinos about breast cancer. Programs to disseminate information and educational content to over 28 million customers are done regularly together with the Department of Health and the Philippine Breast Cancer Society.
This October, SM Supermalls, Estée Lauder Companies, and SM Cares, mark 31 years of dedication to supporting the fight against breast cancer.
