10 Holiday Decor Finds Worth a Trip to SM This Christmas

Somewhere between the first Jose Mari Chan song in September and the first Christmas party invite, the urge to decorate kicks in. The mall stores at SM Supermalls have plenty to work with this year, and your setup deserves to go to the max. Here are 10 favorites from SM Home, Our Home, Crate & Barrel, and IKEA. If you’re still figuring out where to go in Manila this weekend, consider this your shopping list.

Ornaments With Personality

SM Home Velvet Ribbon Bow Hanging Ornament

Bows are having a moment, and SM Home’s Velvet Ribbon Bow Hanging Ornament in Dark Red shows why. The velvet catches the glow of warm fairy lights in a way plain baubles don’t, giving your tree a richer, leveled-up look. Buy a few extra, since you’ll want one for the wreath on your door too.

SM Home Bell Hanging Ornament

For something more nostalgic, SM Home’s Bell Hanging Ornament takes you back to your childhood Christmases. Bells sit comfortably with classic red and green, and they look as good against a gold or silver theme. Hang a few between your bows and baubles, and the tree starts to look styled by you instead of

unboxed from a set.

Crate & Barrel Wood Ball With Tassel Christmas Ornament

Every tree needs one detail people notice up close. Crate & Barrel’s Wood Ball with Tassel Christmas Ornament brings a natural wood finish and a soft tassel. Pair a few with velvet ribbons and metallic accents, and you’ll have the kind of curated tree you’d expect from the best home decor shops Philippines has to offer.

Christmas Trees for Your Main Display

Our Home Frosted Christmas Tree

The Philippines will never see snow, but your living room still gets a white Christmas with Our Home’s Frosted Christmas Tree. As the room’s standout piece, the tree pairs well with velvet bows, silver baubles, and warm-white lights. If all-white feels too quiet, a few ornaments in pink, teal, or gold bring the color back.

Our Home Christmas Tree With Berries and Cones

If the frosted look feels too cool for your taste, Our Home’s Christmas Tree With Berries and Cones goes the other way, with a woodland feel built into the branches. Add wooden ornaments and warm lights to finish the look. The result feels festive without being formal, a good pick if your place is the go-to spot for barkada hangouts and family bonding nights.

Tabletop Pieces for Small Spaces

SM Home Christmas Flower Tabletop Decor

Not everyone has room for a full-size tree, especially in a condo studio unit. SM Home’s Christmas Flower Tabletop Decor solves this at 36 cm, small enough for a desk, side table, or entryway console. Add a candleholder beside the arrangement, and the corner feels like Christmas.

Crate & Barrel Warm Acacia Tannenbaum Ornament Tree

Minimalists will love Crate & Barrel’s Warm Acacia Tannenbaum Christmas Ornament Tree, a sculptural take on the classic tree with clean lines and warm wood. Hang a few small ornaments or leave the tree bare, since the shape holds up on its own. The design feels more modern than seasonal, so you won’t need to pack the piece away in January.

IKEA VINTERFINT Tree-Shaped Decorations

On the opposite end, IKEA’s VINTERFINT Decoration Set of Four Tree-Shaped Pieces in Mixed Colors is for anyone who finds comfort in festive yet muted pieces. Line all four up on a shelf for a maxed mini forest, or scatter them around the house so every room gets a dose of color.

Lighting and Accents for the Holiday Mood

IKEA STRÅLA Paper Star Lampshade

Good lighting does half the work of holiday decorating. IKEA’s STRÅLA Paper Star Lampshade in White and Gold gives a window, bedroom, or reading nook a festive glow. Hang one by the window at dusk, and your neighbors will see the star from the street.

IKEA VINTERFINT Artificial Wreath

Then there’s the front door, the first thing your guests see. IKEA’s VINTERFINT Artificial Wreath in Lingonberry and Red sets the tone before anyone steps inside. Tie on a ribbon in your color theme, or go all out with candles and a few pieces from this list.

Make a Day of Your Christmas Shopping

Decor shopping is more fun when you turn the trip into a full gala. Check the mall events calendar and the Christmas bazaar schedule at your nearest SM first for pop-ups from local makers. Watch for mall promos and mall deals on home and holiday items as December gets closer, and bring your SM Advantage Card. Earning points on eligible purchases ranks among the best SMAC card benefits, so learning how to earn SMAC points now pays off once your holiday haul piles up.

When your bags are full, pick from other things to do in SM, like dinner or a late movie. Bring your partner along, and the trip doubles as one of the easiest indoor date ideas Metro Manila offers this season.

Your holiday setup doesn’t need to follow one aesthetic. Mix the frosted with the woodland and the velvet with the wood until the space feels like yours. Head to the shopping mall stores at SM Supermalls, pick your favorites, and celebrate this Christmas gala to the max.
