Feed your fandom at BTS Pop-Up: Map of the Soul
ARMY, are you ready for this? The much-awaited pop-up store of K-pop sensation BTS, the biggest boy band in the world, is finally opening its doors in the Philippines this May 29, 2021—and at one of the country’s biggest malls, no less. First launched in Seoul in October, the pop-up has traveled to Singapore and Thailand, and is now ready to rock Manila for a limited time only. Here, you can go all out by celebrating your love (and bias!) for RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook without having to fly all the way to Korea.
What to expect: Ready your wallets! The 190-sqm space will showcase over 400 BTS merch, from clothes and accessories to stationery and even household items. As the pop-up name suggests, the central theme is anchored on Map of the Soul: 7, the band’s fourth Korean-language album (and seventh album overall), released in early 2020. To further excite fans, new products will be released every two weeks, and there will be photo zones in the area to help you immortalize your BTS experience. P.S. Go on a furbaby playdate at Indoor Paw Park
Got furry friends at home? Take them on a wholesome, fun-filled adventure at SM’s spacious indoor playground specifically designed for our canine pals.
What to expect: The fenced area is lined with faux grass and features multiple setups for dogs to explore, play in, and run through. A maximum of two dogs per one adult is allowed, with a limit of six people in the park at the same time. Entrance is free! Get some work done while at the mall at The Work Space
If you’re tired of working from the same spot at home and need a change of scenery, pack up your laptop and head on over to The Work Space, a brand new co-working space located within the mall.
What to expect: Featuring socially-distanced tables, protective desk shields, and free alcohol, this modern area provides a safe haven for on-the-go urbanites looking to get some work done, all while enjoying mall perks and conveniences. Here, you can enjoy free WiFi and charging stations, and you can also get to indulge in delicious eats from nearby food establishments: the Mega Food Hall, Starbucks, Hobing Korean Dessert Café, and Serenitea.
Where to find it: It’s located in front of the SM Skating Rink at the 5th Level of the Mega Fashion Hall.
Shop and explore all things bike-related at the Mega Bike Fest
Calling all cycling hobbyists! Celebrate World Bicycle Day at this weeklong attraction that’s sure to satisfy your biking whims through brand showcases, virtual sessions, and other exciting exhibitions.
What to expect: Shop bikes, accessories, gear, and apparel from top local and international brands, such as Nyfti, Bambike, Reid, Klean Kanteen, Fox, and more! There will also be virtual clinics on safety, maintenance, and other relevant topics by experienced bikers and brand ambassadors, and you have a chance to win amazing prizes, too. Lastly, you can feast your eyes on showcases of collectibles from popular bike groups.
Where to find it: Catch the Mega Bike Feast from May 31 to June 6, 2021 at the ground floor of the Mega Fashion Hall.
No doubt about this: There’s something for every member of the family at SM Megamall! Keep your eyes peeled for Santi, too—SM’s newest sanitation robot that’s equipped with misting powers to aid in mall disinfection and ensure your safety.
And here’s a bonus treat: You can join the Santi the Robot Lucky Shopper Game for a chance to win exciting K-pop prizes! To participate, simply find Santi at the ground level of the Mega Fashion Hall and scan the QR code that will flash on the robot’s screen.
