The Golden Coordinate Awards was unveiled at the 18th China Commercial Real Estate Festival, Guangzhou, May 18. SM City Jinjiang, the iconic project located in the hometown of the founder of SM Group, one of the leading integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, was defined as “Annual Excellent Commercial Real Estate Project” during award ceremony.
The Golden Coordinate Awards was created by Winshang. The “Annual Excellent Commercial Real Estate Project” was annually selected by experts and researchers from the industry of commercial property and retails based on big data, field study and specialized standards to explore the benchmarks having both competitiveness and sustainability and promote the development of Chinese retails.

As SM’s second stroke drawn on Chinese market, SM City Jinjiang, opened in 2005, with a total construction area of beyond 170,000 sqms. and over 1,700 parking lots, has attracted more than 400 brands known at home and abroad and has grown into the commercial landmark in Jinjiang City. In recent years, with the upgrading of brands, it has introduced dozens of first-entries at different regional level, for instance, Leysen and LEVI’S Taylor Shop in Fujian Province; Volkswagen ID. Store, ZEEKR, Champion, Estee Lauder and JEWELRIA in Quanzhou City; Starbucks Reserve, TaiEr Chinese Sauerkraut Fish, HIMO, TESLA, PANDORA and LONGINES in Jinjiang City.
SM City Jinjiang regionally moved up its service while adhering to regular prevention and control measures in the year of 2022, combined cross-industrial resources to launched innovative marketing events, improving the brand reputation, traffic and sales performance. Last May, it conducted “So Young So Alive: Future Urban Farm” to bring its community an ecological self-circulation farm full of oxygen and relaxion, which promoted a sales rise of 2.5 million. In the mid-June of 2022, SM City Jinjiang in collaboration with “China Comic Clown Troupe” to mount the regional premier in Quanzhou, continuously boosting the exposure of mall’s Kiddie Zone. “The Red Balloon Project” during last September and October achieved a 202% increase in its foot traffic (compared with the same period of 2021) and reached the multi-win objectives, say, to strengthen the role of benchmark, the youth power of the mall and figures.
According to statistics, the anchors of SM City Jinjiang achieved outstanding sales performance in 2022. Walmart was ranked as number three in Fujian Province; McDonald's and Burger King took the first and second seats respectively in Quanzhou City; Pizzahut reached the top in Jinjiang City, and Starbucks, the third.
SM City Jinjiang has launched series of SM Cares events and fulfills its role to offer convenience for the community and encourage green lifestyle. The ameliorated nursery services of SM City Jinjiang was recognized by Fujian Province for its convenience and humanization. SM International Exhibition Center contributed nearly 4,000 sqms. to support nucleic acid test. Its Magnolia Volunteer Service Station supports as the venue of complimentary breakfast project initiated by local government.
Besides, SM City Jinjiang voluntarily opens its 2,500-square-meter specialized basketball court to citizens all the year round. Its roof equipped with over 19,000 sqms. of solar panels, with an annual power generation of 1.2 million KWH.
