Commuters and travelers alike are set to enjoy safe, convenient, and speedy transfers through SM City Marilao as SM’s meaningful participation in the Philippine National Railways (PNR) North Railway Project – a line connecting Manila and Clark that will largely reduce transit time from 2 hours to only 55 minutes.

During a station marking ceremony held at SM City Marilao, the five stations identified are Tutuban in Manila, Caloocan, Valenzuela, and Meycauayan and Marilao in Bulacan. The railway project is expected to start constructing in the last quarter of 2017 and to be completed by end of 2021. The project is also seen to benefit 350,000 passengers daily once operational.

Since one of the railway’s stations is situated in front of SM City Marilao, this allows commuters to experience safe, speedy, and convenient transfers through the facilities of SM City Marilao and its transport terminal, which houses jeepneys, FX, and tricycles to take them to their local points of destination.

SM Supermalls continues to make the mall-going experience fun and extraordinary for its customers. Through the PNR North Railway Project, SM Supermalls not only promotes safer infrastructures and more efficient transport systems for all, but also reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the lives of the communities in partnership with the government and other private institutions.
