News of Haidilao opening in the Philippines started buzzing as early as 2022. Fast forward to 2024, Haidilao Philippines finally opened its doors to the public last January 8! Originating in Sichuan, China in 1994, Haidilao is known for its spicy broths infused with authentic Sichuan spices, and pairs well with fresh vegetables, and succulent meats. Their extensive condiments bar is a flavor haven that lets you unleash your inner master chef.
Pro Tip: Lines to Haidilao are usually long—even at their branches abroad—so plan your Haidilao dates ahead of time.
Sidechick

If chickens and sandwiches are your thing, then you’ll definitely love Sidechick! Chef Justin Golangco's love for these two delights takes center stage on the menu of this up-and-coming restaurant. Their “O.G.” Chicken Sandwich is made of crunchy thick chicken fillet between two brioche buns, complemented by their tangy coleslaw and signature sauce.
The menu extends beyond sandwiches and burgers to include salads, pastas, and a must-try item, the "Famouse 'Keso Cake,'" promising to elevate your Sidechick experience to an unforgettable level.

Bonus: Sky Garden
While not a new-year debut, the Sky Garden stands as a recent addition to SM Mall of Asia's expanding array of attractions. Opened in September 2023, the Sky Garden is where you can enjoy a relaxing view of the cityscape and revel in the breeze blowing in from the nearby Manila Bay.
