If you've been hunting for things to do in SM this month, consider this your sign to clear your calendar and head straight to the cinema. April is stacked. Like, genuinely, no-skip-zone stacked. Whether you're planning indoor date ideas in the Metro, a barkada hangout, or just a solo situationship with the big screen, SM Cinemas has the lineup to make it happen.

Here's everything dropping this April and why each one is worth making the trip for.

The Super Mario Bros Galaxy Movie (Animation)

Mario and Luigi are back, and this time they're taking the adventure interstellar. When a cosmic disturbance throws the galaxy off balance, Mario gets launched into a universe of floating worlds, gravity-bending challenges, and new allies like Rosalina, all while racing to stop Bowser's most ambitious plan yet.

This one is pure, unfiltered fun. Packed with humor, heart, and visuals that go all the way, it's the kind of film that earns every second of its runtime.

Watching it in IMAX or SCREENX? That's the move. Every warp, jump, and star-powered sequence hits different when it's maxed out on the big screen. Great for family day ideas at SM or anyone who just wants to feel good for two hours straight.

The Drama (Romance, Comedy)

Don't let the title fool you. This one goes deep. Charlie and Emma meet by chance, fall in love, and fast-forward two years: they're engaged, wedding week is here, and everything seems solid. Then a casual conversation among friends starts pulling at threads nobody expected to find. Emma reveals something from her past, something dark, violent, and hidden, and Charlie's whole understanding of the person he's about to marry starts to crack.

What follows is raw, uncomfortable, and deeply human. Trust fractures. Friendships fall apart. And as more secrets surface on both sides, the wedding becomes a powder keg. The Drama asks the kind of question that lingers long after the credits roll: how well do we really know the people we love?

This is the one you watch, then immediately need to decompress over coffee. Ideal indoor date ideas in Metro Manila energy. Catch it at SM, then head to your nearest cafe with WiFi and plugs to process everything.

BTS Word Tour “Arirang” in Goyang and Tokyo: Live Viewing (Music)

This is not a drill. BTS is back. Their ARIRANG world tour is their first all-out comeback in nearly four years, spanning 34 cities and 82 shows and setting a new record for the most tour dates by a K-pop act. SM Cinemas is bringing you right into it with exclusive live screenings on April 11 (Live Viewing in Goyang) and 18 (Live Viewing in Tokyo).

Built around their fifth studio album, ARIRANG is deeply personal, blending themes of longing, love, and identity into something that feels massive and intimate all at once. The 360-degree stage design puts you at the center of every moment, from synchronized choreography to raw vocal performances to fan interactions that'll have you in your feelings.

This is the kind of mall event that doesn't come around often. If you've been waiting for the perfect reason to gather your fellow ARMYs, this is it. A shared, standout experience in a shopping mall with cinema that actually does the moment justice? Don't sleep on it!

Lee Cronin's The Mummy (Supernatural, Horror)

Eight years ago, a journalist's young daughter disappeared into the desert. No trace, no answers, no closure. Then, impossibly, she comes back, unchanged, like no time passed at all.

What starts as a miracle turns into something far more unsettling. Strange events escalate quickly, and it becomes clear that whatever came back may not be the child they lost. Lee Cronin, known for horror that gets under your skin slowly and stays there, delivers a film built on psychological dread as much as supernatural terror. It's the kind of slow-burn that earns its scares honestly.

If you're after entertainment in malls that genuinely pushes the experience, watch this one where every silence and shadow can be felt properly: on the biggest screen near you.

Opens April 15. Book your tickets here.

Michael (Biopic, Musical)

If you think you already know the Michael Jackson story, this film is about to change that. Michael traces the full arc of one of the most complex lives in music history, starting from a kid who could outshine anyone on stage as part of the Jackson 5, carrying the weight of a father who pushed as hard as he hurt. It follows the rise that gave the world Thriller, the dream that built Neverland, and the years of scrutiny that never quite let up, all the way to June 25, 2009, the day everything stopped.

This isn't a greatest hits recap. It's a portrait of the person behind the legend, told with the kind of depth and honesty that a story this big has always deserved. For anyone who grew up with his music or is only now discovering it, watching this on the big screen is the only way to do it justice. A genuinely unforgettable experience, and one of the most standout biopics in years.

Opens April 22. Book your tickets here.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 (Drama, Comedy)

The world of Runway is back, and it is elevated. Andy is navigating life on her own terms now, until Miranda Priestly crosses her path again, and suddenly old tensions resurface with new stakes.

Set against the worlds of fashion and digital media, this sequel digs into ambition, reinvention, and what success actually costs you. Sharp writing, iconic looks, and a story that feels both familiar and genuinely current. The perfect stylish indoor date idea Metro Manila to close out the month on a high note.

Opens April 29. Book your tickets here.
