Halloween is just around the corner. Are your kids excited to play dress up and go trick-or-treating? As moms, our first priority is to keep our little ones safe. But even if they can’t attend parties or events just yet, doesn’t mean you can’t have a safe and fun celebration at home. Don’t worry—it won’t take too much effort because SM has everything you need to create your own fright fest! Take your pick from these kid-safe, family-friendly ideas.

But wait—the kids aren’t the only ones who can dress up. Mommy and Daddy can also join the Halloween festivities! If you’re a fan of the Netflix Show Squid Game, here’s how you can dress up as your favorite Squid Game character: For the giant doll, pair a yellow shirt (preferably with a baby doll collar) with a plain orange dress, then put on white knee-high socks and black shoes. If you’d rather be a contestant, find a dark green tracksuit (or a jacket and joggers) and a white ringer tee. Add some numbers on the shirt and jacket and you’re good to go!
Download the SM Malls app and search your favorite brands for the perfect Squid Game costume.
Prepare fun Halloween activities for the kids.
If you have enough space, you can have an adult stationed in different rooms or areas around the house so the kids can go trick-or-treating. Aside from candies, you can also bake some Halloween-themed cupcakes. Just add pink frosting in a squiggly shape to make it look like braaaaains.
Here’s another fun activity you can do: Make those Squid Game dalgona candies and let your kids take on the challenge. All you need is white sugar and baking soda. Try this easy recipe.
Put up some Halloween-themed decor.
Transform one area of your house into a spooky space. Have the kids help you out with the decorations or make it a special surprise for them. Turn off the lights and play scary sounds (think creaking floorboards or evil cackles) to complete the horror house vibe. If you have a smaller space, you can make a spooky blanket fort instead.

Join the Pup Crawl and end your treat-collecting route with a fun filled afternoon at the Paw Park Pawchella. Need a costume for your pet? They can dress up as Squid Game characters too! Even Korean actress Son Ye-jin dressed her puppy up in a Squid Game costume and posted it on her Instagram. Just find a hoodie like this one from Miniso, stick some numbers on it, and they’ll be ready to join the game.
