The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and SM Supermalls will execute a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on November 16, 2022, 10:00am, at SM City Sta. Mesa, Quezon City. NBI will be represented by Director Medardo G. De Lemos and SM Supermalls will be represented by Mr Steven T. Tan, President, and Mr Bien C. Mateo, Senior Vice-President for Operations.

The MOA will formally seal the nationwide partnership of SM Supermalls to make the NBI Clearance Center (NCC) accessible to the mall-going public. To date, NBI has 2 NCC sites, SM Bacoor and SM Cebu, under former President Duterte’s One-Stop Shop Service Center for OFWs (OSSCO), and 1 NCC at SM Center Las Piñas, which was set-up and sponsored by the Las Piñas City LGU. This new partnership will bring the presence of NBI nationwide under a special arrangement with the concerned LGUs and SM Supermalls. The initial roll-out of NCCs will be at SM Consolacion (Cebu), SM Cabanatuan, SM Seaside Cebu City, SM Puerto Princesa, and SM Bacolod. Other LGUs like Trece Martires and Angono have also expressed support to the NCC set-up.

As part of the SM Group’s thrust to provide complete service to the communities, SM Supermalls have Government Service Express (GSE) Centers at select malls nationwide—which house satellite offices of government agencies to make their services more accessible to the public through the nationwide network of SM Supermalls.
