Who can join SM Little Stars 2025?

Boys and girls aged 4 to 7 years old (as of their screening date) who are photogenic, charming, and have  a talent in Singing, Dancing, or Other Talent (like acting, gymnastics, playing instruments, etc.) may join. 

Who are not eligible? 

• Kids under a talent or commercial contract 
• Participants in conflicting contests (2024–2025) 
• Former Top 10 SM Little Stars winners 
• Anyone appearing in shows or ads during the contest period 

How do we register? 
You can register in 3 easy ways: 

1. Via the SM Malls Online (SMO) app 
2. At www.smsupermalls.com/smlittlestars/ 
3. Walk-in at the Mall Admin Office – Marketing Department 

Pre-registration opens on June 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM 
On-the-day registration: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM on screening days 

What do we need to submit? 

• Completed and signed application form 
• Birth certificate (original + photocopy) 
• Two (2) 4R photos: 1 close-up + 1 full-body (light makeup only) 

What talent categories can my child join? 
Choose one only: 

• Singing 
• Dancing 
• Other Talent (includes gymnastics, acting, playing instruments, magic, etc.)  Only one talent category is allowed throughout the competition. 

Where and when are the auditions? 

• Preliminary Screenings: Held in 67 SM Malls nationwide. 
• Check the Annex A of the contest mechanics posted on www.smsupermalls.com for the list for  your nearest mall and date. 
• Kids will perform for 1 minute using only essential props during the preliminary screening. 

How many kids move on from the auditions? 
Each mall will select 3 winners per day (1 per talent category). 

A total of 390 kids will advance to the Regional Level. 

 What happens at the Regionals? 

• Held in 10 designated SM Malls 
• Each child performs for up to 2 minutes 
• 30 winners will move on to the Grand Finals 

 What happens at the Grand Finals? 

• Date: August 9, 2025 
• Venue: Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia 
• 30 Finalists will perform (up to 2 minutes each) 
• 1 Grand Winner and 3 Runners-Up will be announced 
• Top 10 finalists will receive amazing prizes 

What are the prizes? 

 Grand Prizes include: 

• A brand-new car 
• Cash prizes 
• Scholarship discounts at National University 
• A trip to Hong Kong for the Top 10 finalists and a guardian

Can my child pick their own music? 

Yes! For the Preliminary Auditions, contestants may use their own music as long as it is child appropriate — it must not contain profanity, curse words, or inappropriate language/content. For the Grand Finals, no song duplication is allowed — if two or more finalists select the same song, a  draw will determine who gets to keep it. 

Are props allowed? 
Yes, but only specific props are allowed: 

• Preliminaries: Only essential items like mats, stands, etc. 
• Regionals/Finals: Props are allowed, but no dangerous, flammable, or messy items like  balloons, sharp objects, food, animals, etc. 

 What behavior can lead to disqualification? 

• Unsportsmanlike behavior 
• Safety violations 
• Coaching during the performance 
• Violation of talent rules or age limits 

 Who pays for what? 

• Contestants cover their own travel and lodging (unless stated otherwise). • SM will shoulder all trip-to-Hong-Kong expenses for the Top 10 + one guardian. • All prize taxes (like the car's 20%) will be shouldered by SM Supermalls. 

Can parents assist on stage? 

 No. Contestants must perform without help from parents/guardians. 

 Are judges’ decisions final? 

Yes. All judging is final and with DTI concurrence. No changes will be made after winners are  announced unless there's formal proof of ineligibility.
