The Ride is a father-and-son roadtrip drama about family reconnection and forgiveness, only to be twisted as a thriller putting both their personal traumas into action. The film tells the story of Leo, the son, forced to grant his dying mother’s request to accompany his estranged father, Barry, to come home. Set in the roads of Manila, the rural, the sea, and the “underground”, secrets and troubles come to light as they try to make their trip harmless. It turns out that Barry, even on the verge of change for the good, is a criminal on the run with his own organization who betrayed him. How will Leo handle his mother’s last wish and his father’s deadly situation?
