It was a love-filled weekend at the SM Mall of Asia Main Atrium as the Philippine Harmonic Orchestra, the MADZ Et Al, and the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group with Rondalla joined forces for the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ “Sining Sorpresa” flash mob held recently.

The event, coinciding with Valentine's Day celebrations, left audiences spellbound with their renditions of beloved tunes. The Main Mall Atrium was transformed into a haven of romance as the talented ensembles took center stage, captivating shoppers with their harmonious melodies. The air was filled with anticipation as the first notes of " Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" echoed through the space.

The groups showcased their unique flair and virtuosity, offering distinctive interpretations of timeless classics. The Philippine Harmonic Orchestra's symphonic arrangements provided a grand backdrop, while the ethereal harmonies of the MADZ Et Al sang with all their hearts. The lively choreography and infectious energy of the Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group with Rondalla added a dynamic dimension to the flash mob.

Among the highlights of the afternoon were the heartfelt renditions of "El Collar de Sampaguita," "Ang Huling El Bimbo," and "Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka," which resonated deeply with the audience and evoked emotions of love and longing. Shoppers stopped by and listened to the music, especially families and friends who gathered to share in the joyous celebration of music and togetherness.
“Sining Sorpresa” not only showcased the exceptional talent of these renowned musical groups but also served as a reminder of the unifying power of music to bring people together. The event is part of the CCP’s Kanto Kultura program in partnership with SM Supermalls.
