Top SM executives today signed and announced new commitments to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) during the launch of its Women at Work pop-up marketplace at SM Aura Premier in Manila. The announcement comes 3 days before International Women’s Day this year, and makes SM the largest-ever homegrown company to sign the WEPs in the Philippines.

 

Marking the new milestone for the National Women’s History Month were SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and SM Supermalls, represented by Mr. Steven Tan (in photo on the left), President of SM Supermalls, The SM Store, represented by its President, Ms. Chelo Monasterio (second from left), and Mr. Chito Manalo (right), President of SM Retail Inc., and Rosalyn Mesina (second from right), Country Programme Manager of WeEmpowerAsia Philippines, the UN Women programme with the EU as partner and donor.
