According to the Department of Health (DOH) and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), an estimated three (3) in every 100 Filipino women can be afflicted with breast cancer. It is the third leading cause of cancer deaths among Filipinos and is more common to women than most men.

However, breast cancer is curable if detected early and treated properly. That’s why it is important to increase awareness about breast cancer. And organizations like SM Supermalls have always highlighted the need for better cognizance of this disease among Filipinos.
