SM Supermalls is bringing the museum to the mall!

About 12,000 pieces of art are displayed at 18 participating SM malls nationwide for the latest run of Art for Everyone, the retail conglomerate’s annual event that combines meaningful art with the retail experience and brings the public up close and personal with the creations of local talent. Until September 15, the multi-mall exhibition will highlight both established and emerging artists and feature all sorts of art forms ranging from detailed drawings and large-scale paintings to unique sculptures and sweeping murals.

“Art for Everyone 2019 is SM’s way of reaching out to the art-loving public. We want to feature all types of artists and connect them with different audiences,” say Jonjon San Agustin, SM Supermalls SVP for Marketing. “The artworks also inspire a refreshing vibe in the malls as shoppers and their loved ones bond over art.”

The event was launched this year at SM Megamall, which hosted a spectrum of exhibitions including a retrospective of renowned artist Juvenal Sanso’s “Felicidad Sy” series, named after the wife of the late Henry Sy, SM’s beloved founder.

Art for Everyone also prides itself on creating opportunities for budding art hopefuls—Megamall’s Mega Fashion Hall will also be exhibiting the artwork of students and art enthusiasts until September 1.

Meanwhile, SM Aura Premier, which is committed to supporting and driving more appreciation for local arts and culture, has partnered with Galerie Raphael for a special art exhibit titled “In Full Circle.” Hoping to better leverage art as a means to reach out and engage the community, from the youth to those in their golden years, the exhibit showcases a well-curated selection of art in various media and genres by over 15 Filipino visual artists. All pieces are open to the public for viewing and for purchase until September 1.

Bond with your family and friends over art appreciation and shopping at Art for Everyone, which is still ongoing in the following SM malls: SM Batangas, SM Bacolod, SM Molino, SM San Pablo, SM Telabastagan until Sept 1; SM Cebu until Sept 4; SM Lanang Premier and SM CDO Downtown Premier until Sept 7; SM Legazpi, SM Marikina and SM Novaliches until Sept 8; and The Podium until Sept 15.
