SM Prime Holdings received Manila’s Top Ten Taxpayers Awards for 2017 – placing fourth in the ‘Top Real Property Taxpayers’ category and third in the ‘Top Business Taxpayers’ category for SM City Manila and SM City San Lazaro.



SM Prime Holdings received Top Ten Taxpayers Awards from the City of Manila at the 447
th Araw ng Maynila celebration last June 22, held at the Manila Hotel. SM is a recipient of accolades for placing fourth in the ‘Top Real Property Taxpayers’ category and third in the ‘Top Business Taxpayers’ category for SM City Manila and SM City San Lazaro.

The awards were presented by Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada to SM Supermalls Chief Operating Officer Steven Tan. “Our commitment to ensuring transparency in the business reflects our performance as an organization. We are truly honored to receive these awards as we continue to provide customers with delightful experiences in the malls,” Tan said.

Manila is home to SM City Manila and SM City San Lazaro. Accessible to several forms of public transportation, each mall serves as a community shopping center in their respective locations, and offers a wide variety food choices, retail brands, and fun experiences.

Opened in 2000, SM City Manila is deemed as the mall of millennials. Surrounded by universities and colleges that set an urban vibe in the community, the mall also houses satellite government offices of the Land Transportation Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Maritime Industry Authority.

SM City San Lazaro, which opened in 2005, features major anchors and lifestyle brands. The mall has evolved over the years with the burgeoning of the San Lazaro business district center that nestles condominiums, BPOs, and a hotel and casino.
