SM Supermalls, with its aim to improve the lives of the Filipinos by helping them land their ideal job, is holding the biggest job fair of the year. On May 01, 2015 marks the 8th Annual Job Fair which takes place in SM malls nationwide. Coming from a huge success last year in which 2, 718 companies joined and 415, 671 jobs were offered, this year’s Job Fair is expected to be as successful.
Every year since 2008, SM Supermalls have been partnering with the Department of Labor and Public Employment Services Office for the May 1 nationwide job fair. The nationwide job fair allows for a convenient and accessible meeting for both would-be employers and employees. Over 50 SM malls will hold simultaneous job fairs at their respective event centers from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participating employers include local-based and overseas-based companies from telecommunications, real estate, business process outsourcing, service industries, and many more.
With thousands of companies joining, job seekers must make sure to have several copies of their resumé, ID photos, Transcript of Record, and other pertinent documents which may be required by the employers. It is also advisable for job seekers to be in proper business attire to give the employers the best first impression and the possibility of landing a job on the spot.
Everyone is encouraged to visit the malls to check on the available employment opportunities. Information booths and drop boxes will be provided in SM branches that will not hold on-site job fairs.
