2017 was a tough year for a lot of women.
In the US, the year saw an escalation of attacks on women, including efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, undermine women’s legal and reproductive rights and slash essential health benefits. There were also threats to issues women care about: protections for children, civil rights and the environment, just to name a few. And then came the explosive epidemic of reports of sexual harassment and assault, exposing just how pervasive this problem is for women in all sectors of society. Even the glitz of Hollywood could not overpower the voice of the many victims who shared their stories.
But despite all these challenges they faced, there is an upside: Women are Rising.
And they cannot be silenced anymore.
In honor of this relentless spirit, SM Supermalls, the biggest mall chain in the country celebrated Women’s Day last March 8.

Fun events this month include the much-awaited Women’s Sale on all Wednesdays of March, where ladies can get up to 70% off on exclusive deals and fabulous finds every week of the month.
Beauty junkies can go on a spree for discounts and bundles on must-haves, and can also indulge in pampering promos from beauty and wellness stores.
There is also the Ladies’ Wellness Camp for tips and hacks from style gurus on wellness, nutrition, and fitness.

Women of all ages, sizes, shapes, backgrounds, and professions are encouraged to join this women empowerment movement for a chance to win amazing prizes! Plus, winners will each receive a power portrait taken by Niccolo Cosme that will be showcased through an exhibit at SM Megamall on March 22.
