For the past nine years, it has become a tradition for millions of Filipinos to watch the grandiose display of fireworks performances at the SM Mall of Asia.
No matter how intense or grand the displays are, these pyrotechnics ensure that it’s safe for the people and for the environment. Complying with the international standards for environmental safety is a must for them and it is at par with countries like Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, and famous theme parks around the world!
This 2019, in full support of the ongoing Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program initiated by DENR, SM Supermalls has moved the 10th Philippine International Pyromusical Competition from its usual spot in SM Mall of Asia to SM City Clark in the North.
Here are three reasons why it’s worth the drive:
It is the biggest pyromusical on Earth.
It was my first time to watch a pyrotechnic shows. To be honest, I was just expecting it to be like any other fireworks show that malls usually host during NYE. PIPC proved me wrong.
Pyrotechnic groups from all around the world fly to the Philippines to showcase their extravagant fireworks display every year. CBF Pyrotechnics from Belgium, Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke from Germany, Pirotecnia Minhota from Portugal, Viviano S.R.L. from Italy, United Kingdom’s Pyrotex Fireworx and our very own, Philippines’ Platinum Fireworks, are just some of the groups involved.
I had the pleasure to witness France’s Brezac Artifices and Finland’s Oy Pyroman, and it was like reliving a scene from a Disney movie where the lead characters are showered with glitz and glam while changing outfits or when they’re about to kiss.
The night sky was painted with colors along with enchanting tunes. It was very on point. Every flick and beat of the music corresponded with a subtle burst of colors to an overwhelming shower of fireworks.
You can enjoy a scenic route.
Do I even need to elaborate how bad Manila traffic is? Pair that with an event attended by millions and we could be stuck on the road for hours. Imagine all the things you could’ve done instead of sluggishly waiting for the next car to move inch by inch until you get home.
Well, that won’t be a problem when you take the scenic route to Clark! It’s time to discover what the North has to offer and maybe we can divert the spotlight to the developing CBD of Clark. The commute only takes around 1 to 1 ½ hours from Quezon City. No traffic at all!
It’s a whole new adventure.
Aside from the developing CBD area of Clark, you can also take a side trip to the beach in Zambales or hike your way up to the famous Mt. Pinatubo before the evening pyromusical show. It’s strategically located in the center of everything so you can go anywhere with ease.
It’s so convenient that you can go to Cebu or anywhere else in a snap and still be back on the SAME DAY! Yup, ON THE SAME DAY! Hahaha. Clark International Airport is really close to SM City Clark!
While it is technically in a province, it doesn’t feel like that at all. It’s like a curated Metro Manila with luxury and necessities. You can also take a big deep breath and feel refreshed.
