MECHANICS

REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

  1. The Downtown TikTok Dance-off is open to all individuals at least 15 years of age.
  2. The contest will run from Oct 25 – Dec 27.
  3. Customer to shop or dine worth P1,000 of single receipt from any mall tenants at SM City San Fernando Downtown except for payment bills.
  4. Receipt shall be dated from Oct 25-Nov 30, 2021 and Dec 1-27, 2021
  5. Participants must complete the registration at  https://www.smsupermalls.com/downtown-tiktok-dance-off-registration/ to participate and be verified. Failure to register will be disqualified.
  6. Participants may submit their entries on the following schedule:

Month of November, 2021
Submission of entries: October 25, 2021 (12:00AM) to November 30, 2021 (11:59PM)


Months of December, 2021
Submission of entries: December 1, 2021 (12:00AM) to December 27, 2021 (11:59PM)

  1. There will be two (2) batch of entries. One (1) for the month of November and One (1) for the month of December.

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. Participant to show-off his/her dance moves and creative transitions at the TikTok Stage NO OTHER VENUE. The Downtown TikTok stage is located at the 4th Level of SM City San Fernando Downtown.
  2. Participant must like and follow the official Facebook page of SM City San Fernando Downtown and include the official hashtag #DowntownTikTokDanceOff on the caption upon posting an entry. Misspelled or incorrect hashtag will mean disqualification. The participants can add editing effects of their liking to the visual such as texts, filters, and green screen.
  3. The running time for the TikTok video should be a minimum of TWENTY (20) seconds and maximum of TWENTY-FIVE (25) seconds only including visual and audio effects.
  4. The quality of both audio and video should be seamless, clear, and with visual impact. Low-quality videos such as but not limited to the following: low resolution, too pixelated, too shaky, Audio can’t be heard properly, etc. will be disqualified.
  5. Profanities or vulgarity, content not safe for work (NSFW), potentially harmful actions/activities, and violence captured in the video will automatically mean disqualification.
  6. The participant’s TikTok entry privacy should be set to public until the end of the contest.
  7. For entries with duplicates, the first one submitted will only be considered for the contest.
  8. The contestant is responsible for their own production expenses and logistic arrangements. SM City San Fernando Downtown nor any of those involved in any capacity in organizing, executing, judging or supplying prizes for the Downtown TiktTok Dance-off is not responsible for covering or reimbursing any expense that maybe incurred by the contestants.
  9. Employees of Shopping Center Management Corporation (SCMC), their affiliates, sponsors, organizers, advertising agencies, and judges, including their relatives up to third degree of consanguinity or affinity, are not eligible to join this competition.
  10. Any violation of the contest mechanics with the concurrence of DTI shall be a ground for disqualification.

 

JUDGING AND SELECTION PROCESS

  1. All judging process will require the presence of DTI and SM representatives should be present to witness the judging and selection procedure.
  2. The criteria for judging the qualified entries to determine the winners will be as follows:

  1. In the event of a tie, the contestants will have to be re-evaluated by the judges based on their entries. The same criteria will be used for judging. The contestants with the higher score will be declared as the winners.
  2. There will be total of two (2) winners each month.
  3. Each winner will receive P2,000 worth of shopping money and will be featured on SM City San Fernando Downtown’s Facebook page.
  4. Judging and announcement of winners will be on December 3, 2021 for November entries and January 3, 2022 for December entries, 2pm.
  5. All judges’ decision with concurrence of DTI is considered final.
