#LetsPlayNowAtSM is a gaming app hosted by SM Supermalls that utilizes augmented reality, QR codes, and various fun technology using smartphones.

This December, #LetsPlayNowAtSM is launching the #FindSMSanta game: an augmented reality scavenger hunt where players can scan SM Santas located around SM Supermalls nationwide and collect coins to win prizes. The more coins collected, the higher the chance to win a prize.

A live leaderboard will indicate the rank of the user, so keep hunting and scanning for SM Santa to ensure a spot in the Top 12!

Game Mechanics

STEP 1: Download #LetsPlayNowAtSM Application: Download the #LetsPlayNowAtSM Application via Apple Store or Google Play Store.

STEP 2: Open #LetsPlayNowAtSM Application: Once downloaded, open the #LetsPlayNowAtSM Application.

STEP 3: Registration (Sign Up Form within the #LetsPlayNowAtSM Application)

Sign Up / Create your account.

Fill up all the required fields

First Name, Last Name, E-mail Address, Home Address, Mobile Number, Password (Confirm Password feature) and agree to terms & conditions and privacy policy

A message will appear that you have successfully registered.

REGISTRATION SUCCESSFUL

Thank you! A verification e-mail has been sent to you. Click on the link to verify your account.

STEP 4: Location Access: Once registered, application will request for location access. Click OK.

STEP 5: Camera Access: Application will request for camera access. Click OK.  A window will pop up explaining HOW TO PLAY the game. Click NEXT or START.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:

1. FIND AND SCAN - Find SM Santa and scan them with your phone.
2. OPEN THE SHOPPING BAG - Tap on the shopping bag and start collecting coins.
3. COLLECT COINS - Collect your coins and win big prizes throughout the day. SM coin is equivalent to 1 coin; Little Vivo Mascot is equivalent to 2 coins.

STEP 6: Scanning: Once redirected to the camera screen, user can start hunting SM Santa and collecting coins inside the mall during mall hours. Users will have to focus the camera on any SM Santa inside the mall and TAP the shopping bag from the screen.

STEP 7: Tap the Shopping Bag: Once a user has scanned the SM Santa, he/she will tap it and a shopping bag will pop up. After tapping the shopping bag, a screen will pop up to confirm that SM Santa has been successfully scanned and the coins will pop up. Collect the coin and Click OK. The coin/s will be collated within your profile.

Security Measures

1. Users with the most number of coins collected will win prizes.
2. Users can only play during the standard mall hours (10AM to 10PM only) and within mall area.
3. Users must have stable internet connection. SM Supermalls shall be free if users encounters loss of points or unable to scan due to internet connection / phone data of the users.
4. Employees of Shopping Center Management Corporation, its affiliates, mall tenants of the SM mall, agencies, service providers, respective officers and their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity are not allowed to join the promo.
5. Users who fake / spoof their location will be disqualified.
6. Persons reporting regularly to the promoter, sponsor, advertiser under a contract of service and who, by the nature of the service they render may have a direct and personal knowledge of this promotion are likewise disqualified.
7. Shopping Center Management Corporation reserve the right to disclose and publish names, photos and other information of the winners in any mode or manner, as relevant to the Promotion, in any mode or manner as they may deem appropriate.
8. By accepting the prize, the winner should agree to the following terms and conditions of Shopping Center Management Corporation.
9. Prizes are transferable but not convertible to cash.
10. Prizes may be redeemed within the redemption period only. Unclaimed prizes after the redemption period will be forfeited in favor of Shopping Center Management Corporation with prior DTI approved.
11. Should the participant claiming to be the winner fails to present the complete requirements on the specified deadline (as stated below), then the winner shall be disqualified from claiming the prize in concurrence with DTI approval.
12. The Winner must present the following to an authorized SM Supermalls representative when claiming prize:
    • One (1) valid ID with complete real name, age, gender, picture and correct address. Photocopies of any of the documents (i.e. birth certificate, marriage contract, SSS ID, driver’s license, school ID and/or passport)
    • If the winner is a minor, then he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent/s or legal guardian.
13. SM Supermalls shall be free from responsibility in case of injury, accident or death during the gaming period or by claiming the prizes.
