SM Supermalls scored a win at the prestigious Visual Merchandising (VM) Christmas Awards for transforming SM Mall of Asia into a whimsical Christmas Wonderland. The mall-wide installation was recognized under the 'Shopping Centres, Town Centres and Airports' category at the VM Christmas Awards ceremonies on May 9 at the Retail Design Expo held at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London, UK.
SM was also a finalist under the 'Most Outstanding Christmas Feature or Prop' category for SM City Pampanga's Merry Nutcracker Christmas Centerpiece, inspired by The Nutcracker by Alexander Dumas - a 25-ft grand Christmas display featuring a larger-than-life ballerina and two monumental nutcrackers.
The Visual Merchandising (VM) Christmas Awards is the only awards event dedicated to recognize the most outstanding Christmas visual merchandising executions - Christmas displays, windows and interiors - across the world. Top visual merchandisers, marketing experts and retail designers from UK comprise the prestigious and independent judging panel.
