The nationwide search for the brightest and most talented kids of the country culminated with a fitting climax when Darren Andrei Sungahid, 7, and Gaea Mischa Salipoto, 7, of SM City Cagayan De Oro and SM City BF Paranaque, respectively, were hailed as the Grand Boy and Girl Winners at the SM Little Stars 2017 Grand Finals on August 6 held at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura Premier in Taguig City.
Darren Andrei won the hearts as he sang “I Just Can't Wait To Be King” from Disney’s The Lion King, while everyone was blown away with Gaea Mischa’s heartfelt rendition of “Journey To The Past” from the animated film, Anastasia.
The two Grand Winners each took home a brand new Chevrolet Sail, a trip for two to the USA, a four-year college full scholarship grant from National University, 5 days and 4 nights trip to China for two, PhP 200,000 worth of cash and SM Gift Certificates, one-year passes at SM Storyland, unlimited pass at SM Bowling and SM Skating, 3 days and 2 nights stay for two at Taal Vista Hotel, and PhP15,000 worth of Toy Kingdom gift cards.
Completing the Top 10 major winners were SM City Consolacion’s Sinead Reese Canlas (1st Runner-Up), SM Center Muntinlupa’s Jacey Jean Wills (2nd Runner-Up), SM City Iloilo’s Jenesis Simpson (3rd Runner-Up), SM City Bacoor’s Jan Carlo Barbon (6th Place), SM City Novaliches’ Elisia Lyrisse Parmisano (7th Place), SM City Masinag’s Yuliya Maryca Agraviador (8th Place), SM City Cabanatuan’s Ravilmar Sekhon (9th Place), and SM City Bicutan’s Rhian Luisse Cornel (10th Place). Earning the most number of votes online as the top favorite Grand Finalist, Sabria Denise Paica of SM City Calamba bagged the SM Little Stars 2017 #SuperMoms Choice Award.
